Cyndi Chaw is a Taiwanese singer who started her musical journey at a young age. She joined the Taipei Christian Children's Choir in first grade and began singing theme songs for cartoons by second grade. In 1984, she began performing at folk music venues. After graduating from the Business Correspondence Department of Chihlee Institute of Technology in 1988, Chaw signed with Universal Music and released her debut album "Say a Little More". She later moved to Rock Records in 1993, where she also entered a romantic relationship with producer Li Cheng Fan. In 1996, she signed with PolyGram, and her relationship with Li Cheng Fan ended.
