Meng Mei Qi is a Chinese singer and actress managed by Starship Entertainment and Yuehua Entertainment. Born in Luoyang, Henan, she first debuted as a member of the South Korean girl group WJSN in 2016. She is also a former member of Rocket Girls 101 (火箭少女101), which debuted in June 2018 and disbanded in July 2020. The group was formed through Produce 101 China, where she ranked #1 as the center of the group. In 2018, Meng was supposed to debut as an actress with ‘Marna’ alongside her fellow bandmate Xuanyi, however, this got canceled. She released another movie the same year called ‘Autumn Fairy Tale’. She debuted as a solo artist in April of 2019 and released the single ‘Jiang’. The EP that held the song, sold over 1 million copies in one hour. On March 3, 2023 it was announced that 3 members Xuan Yi, Cheng Xiao, and Mei Qi of Yuehua Entertainment who joined WJSN promotions, their contracts as WJSN have automatically come to an end.
