Summary:

This great historical drama is about the stormy life of Hur Jun, a legendary doctor of the Joseon Dynasty. Hur Jun was the illegitimate child of the governor of Pyongyang (a region in Northern Korea) and spent his days acting as the leader of a smuggling ring. When caught, his father arranged for Hur Jun and his mother to leave for Gyeongsang (a region in Southern Korea). This is where he met the reputable Dr. Yoo, who discovered his talent and interest in medicine and healing people.
