SAKEROCK disbanded under his leadership on June 2, 2015.
During the filming of the special drama "Nigeru wa Haji da ga Yaku ni Tatsu: Ganbare Jinrui! Shinshun Special!!", Hoshino began dating his co-star Aragaki Yui. They announced their engagement on May 19, 2021.
